Suicide First Aid

A suicidal person may not ask for help directly, but they are likely to show certain warning signs. It is important that people are able to recognise some of the warning signs.

  • The suicide rate in 2020 was recorded at 10 in 100,000 (ONS)

  • Males aged 45-49 had the highest suicide rate at 23.8 in 100,000 (ONS)

  • Suicide is one of the most preventable causes of death

  • Would you know what to say?  Would you know how to support a friend or colleague at point of crisis?
